Coats Gravestones

These graves are located in the Dublin Cemetery in Dublin California. It is located behind St. Raymond's Church. In addition to eight Coats', Caleb and Susan Bowles are also buried here.

Dublin Cemetery

The entrance to the cemetery. The Coats' and Bowles' graves are straight ahead almost to the back. You have to go around to the right or left to get to avoid walking through someone's plot.

From left to right: James, Felix and Leona, Fannie, Mary, and Wilson.

Between Mary and Wilson are the stones for Caleb and Susan Bowles and Bethel and Phoebe Coats. The entire Coats plot has been cemented over.

Son of Felix Coats. His wife Fannie is buried in the Alamo Cemetery.

Felix is a son of Wilson.

The upper part was broken into several pieces by vandals. It has been put back together.

Wilson Coats

Wilson is the oldest Coats buried here. The stone was vandalized. There are some chips and it appears it was knocked from its base.

This inscription is on the side of the stone. Caleb's is around the corner to the right.
